Join us Wednesday, May 5 at a YEI Educator Power Hour

Side Hustle Summer

Our next Educator Power Hour is Wednesday, May 5 at 4:00 PM EST.

You can learn about starting YOUR own side hustle over the summer and take the material to your students as well.

The entrepreneurial mindset is best taught by someone with the entrepreneurial mindset who can bring their personal experience to their lesson plans. Greg Malkin, Executive Director of Young Entrepreneur Institute, will share lessons he has learned in his 45 years as a serial entrepreneur. What does it take to turn your interest or hobby into your side hustle? Now is the time to start thinking about your Summer Side Hustle.

The best way to develop the entrepreneurial mindset is through entrepreneurial experiences. Julie Hunter, a middle school educator at Bio Med Science Academy, will discuss how she balances her side hustle, Julery Creations. Julie has been making and selling jewelry for several years while also teaching full-time.

Amy Mucha, founder of Daisy Cakes, will explain how she decided to make the transition from teaching full-time and operating her side hustle to running her side hustle full-time! Check out her May the 4th pops on her website.

Sindy Warren is a Principal at Blue Tree Coaching, where she conducts coaching sessions based on mindset. She has a side hustle called Side Gig School. We will be offering a coaching session as a mini-grant to eligible attendees interested in starting or maximizing a side hustle.
We hope to see you there!
