Michael Fitzpatrick joins Young Entrepreneurs Institute as Director of Development, bringing more than two decades of experience helping mission-driven organizations grow through meaningful partnerships and community engagement. His most recent experience was leading two Northeast Ohio organizations aimed at strengthening the local manufacturing work force. Prior to that Michael held multiple leadership roles with Boy Scouts of America.

Originally from New Jersey, Michael has lived and worked across Maryland, Delaware, and Connecticut, connecting volunteers and donors with causes that create lasting impact.

At YEI, Michael will lead fundraising and development efforts to expand the organization’s reach and strengthen its efforts to expand programs that help young people build entrepreneurial skills, confidence, and creativity.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Goucher College in Maryland.

Michael and his wife, Erica, live in the Cleveland area with their four-year-old son, Sean. He enjoys exploring the region’s trails, food scene, and cultural institutions, and values the simple pleasure of pairing a good meal with great conversation.
