Before joining YEI, Amy’s passion for education led to a 28-year teaching career in NWA public schools. She has a deep commitment to ensuring all students have opportunities to participate in hands-on, experiential learning about entrepreneurship. Having seen firsthand the difference an entrepreneurial mindset can make, Amy notes that increased confidence, problem-solving, perseverance, and communication are just a few of the real-world skills her students have gained.

She is equally dedicated to supporting educators with the training and resources needed to provide these opportunities, working closely with teachers, partners, and local entrepreneurs to build a thriving NWA entrepreneurship community.

For the past 20 years, Amy has also provided teacher workshops and developed curriculum with Economics Arkansas as a Master Economics Teacher, and she continues to design resources for her Teachers Pay Teachers store. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Arkansas Tech University and earned her Middle Level Generalist National Board Certification.

Amy lives in Rogers, Arkansas with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her three grown children, following sports, reading, and many creative hobbies.
