JumpStart’s Startup Scaleup event is taking over Gordon Square Arts District for a day of new ideas, practical advice, and collaborative connection-making. This is a fantastic opportunity for you and your students to get to know the people and organizations that make up Northeast Ohio’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Founder Sessions: What Makes Them Tick? Presented by The Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum 12:30-2pm, Happy Dog, 5801 Detroit Avenue
High school entrepreneurs provide a behind the scenes look at three businesses through a series of one-on-one interviews with founders who share their startup stories.
Northeast Ohio’s Next Generation of Entrepreneurs Presented by The Burton D. Morgan Foundation 3-5pm, Capitol Theatre- Auditorium 3, 1390 West 65th Street
Hear from several young entrepreneurs who have successfully founded their own ventures in Northeast Ohio and learn about the wealth of resources available to student entrepreneurs.
Lemonade Day Northeast Ohio 12-4pm, outside Capitol Theatre, 1390 West 65th Street and Near West Theatre, 6702 Detroit Avenue
Students from OAK Leadership Institute, Orchard STEM School, Cleveland High School for Digital Arts and Merrick House will be selling lemonade and other treats throughout the day’s events. Stop by to support these young entrepreneurs.
BIZ WIZ YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR CAMP AT US, JUNE 15-19, 9AM-3:30PM
For middle school students looking for a summer camp: Biz Wiz runs June 15-19 and is geared to students entering grades 7-9. Campers learn business and marketing strategy, teamwork, negotiation, and essential leadership development skills. Click here for more details. Questions? HACK-A-THING AT SHAKER | LAUNCHHOUSE JUNE 22-26, 10AM-3:30PM
Hack-A-Thing is a five-day immersion for high school students in design thinking for product development. Participants will form teams and will take everyday products/objects and go through a four-phase process to innovate some aspect of that object: 1) inspiration, 2) ideation, 3) implementation, and 4) iteration.
