Join us after work on Thursday, January 18 for our High School Educator Retreat from 4:30-6:30pm at University School’s Hunting Valley Campus. The retreat will feature a creativity workshop, program updates, networking and dinner. All educators who teach or want to learn about entrepreneurship education are welcome to attend. Teen Pitch Tank Contest Returns in January!

After much anticipation, Teen Pitch Tank high school video pitch contest will return from January 19-February 19. The contest is open to all students in grades 9-12 in Northeast Ohio and will again feature great prizes, including a CSU scholarship. Students develop a business idea, create a short pitch, and upload a video. Visit teenpitchtank.com or email Ilene Frankel at ifrankel@us.edu to schedule a workshop at your school.

Tech Competition for High School Students

The CoolTech Challenge engages teams of high school students in an interscholastic competition for the most unique mobile app, mobile ready website or a concept. Teams are encouraged to be as creative and innovative as possible. Participants must work with a designated classroom advisor. Submissions will be judged by industry professionals and must be received by February 14.

Celebrate Youth Entrepreneurship

The 10th annual celebration on Wednesday, April 11 will feature Krystal Persaud, Director of Product Design at littleBits, a platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks. As the Director of Product Design, Krystal explores how littleBits is designing unique learning experiences that draw on principles from the Maker Movement, STEM/STEAM and ambush learning.

10:00-11:00am at University School Hunting Valley campus
1:00-2:00pm at University School Shaker Heights campus
