SELLING BEE

K-8 PITCH CONTEST OPEN THROUGH NOV 12

Registration for the 2018 Selling Bee is open! Selling Bee is a video pitch competition for K-8 students in Northeast Ohio. Teachers can register students from their classes or students can register themselves! Students can win great prizes including Fire 7 tablets! Young Entrepreneur Institute offers workshops to help teachers with coaching or filming students. Visit the website to register or contact Jessie Jones if you have any questions. Between October 30 and November 29, STEM Entrepreneurship and Innovation forums at seven different colleges throughout Ohio offer high schoolers the chance to network and learn from professionals in the field. Click here for more information about dates and locations.

On March 12, the Veale Foundation is hosting an inspirational one-day conference features panels of national and local Gen Z and millennial entrepreneurs, a mini-maker hackathon, networking, and more. FALL INNOVATOR COMPETITION

The Jacobson Institute’s Innovator Competition is open to ANY high school student in grades 9-12. Winners walk away with seed capital to take their idea/product/business to the next level. Applications are due November 15! For more information, click here.

HAVE A BUSINESS IDEA THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD?

The World Series of Innovation is an online business ideas competition aligns with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. By asking students “what are the biggest problems facing humanity?” this competition will inspire students to create solutions. Registrationis open until December 5 for anyone ages 13-24!

GLOBAL HIGH SCHOOL PITCH COMPETITION

Open to all high school students throughout the world and offering $100,000 in prizes, the Diamond Challenge is an exciting opportunity for any high school student to cultivate their entrepreneurship ideas. Students can use their winnings towards scholarships at any school in the world or to fund their ideas! Register by December 30 here.

VEALE THINKBIG! CHALLENGE

The Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum is hosting an online business innovation competition for all high school students in Northeast Ohio. With more than $9000 in prizes, students may enter one of two tracks: Business Venture or Social Enterprise. The online submission deadline is January 7, 2019. Click here to learn more and to enter.

HUDSON LIBRARY AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY PITCH NIGHT

Tuesday, November 13 the Hudson Library will host its 6th annual “Pitch Night.” Participants can apply online until Monday, October 29. Seven finalists will be chosen to pitch “Shark Tank” style during the event. $3,000 cash will be awarded to the winner, $1,500 cash for second place, and $500 for third.
