Celebrate Youth Entrepreneurship on April 11

Seats are available for grades 5-12 to attend Krystal Persaud’s afternoon presentation from 1-2pm on Wednesday, April 11 at University School’s Shaker Heights campus. Krystal is the Director of Product Design at littleBits, a platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks. The program is free and bus transportation reimbursement is available. Special Selling Opportunity on April 28

Young Entrepreneur Market has partnered with the City of Shaker Heights for a special market at Shaker Makers on April 28. Are you a student with a passion for entrepreneurship? Or do you just have a great idea for a product? Students in grades 6-12 are invited to sign-up to participate in this selling event. Pre-event coaching for first-time student entrepreneurs is available. Students from any school/district may participate. The deadline for applications is April 10. Click here to register.

Congratulations to YEI partner and friend, Tory Coats, winner of Cleveland Leadership Center’s Accelerate 2018: Citizens Make Change. Tory is planning to help at-risk youth become entrepreneurs in their own neighborhoods by utilizing vacant storefronts for pop-up shops.

Teen Pitch Tank Finalists & Public Voting Coming Soon

Nearly 500 Northeast Ohio high school students submitted a business pitch for Teen Pitch Tank. Judges are narrowing down to the 20 finalists, which will be posted on for public voting from March 6-13. Five students will win – four will be chosen by independent judges; one will be chosen based on public vote. Stay tuned and good luck!
