ENTREPRENEUR CHALLENGE FOR GRADES 4-12

Minnow Tank Entrepreneur Challenge is a business competition open to all Northeast Ohio students in grades 4-12. Students are invited to submit their innovative business and non-profit ideas. Five will be selected to present live to professionals on January 21 at Solon Community Center. IT’S BACK! COMPETE FOR OVER $2,500!

The annual World Series of Innovation presented by NFTE is back. This year will feature challenges from Microsoft, Coca-Cola/VEB, Pitney Bowes Foundation, GoDaddy, MasterCard, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, along with “Innovation Day” events around the world. Online submission deadline November 17, during Global Entrepreneurship Week. SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR THE CLASS OF 2016

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards are open to any graduating high school senior entering their freshman year at an accredited (not for profit) two- or four-year university, college or vocational/technical institute. Applicants MUST be running their own small business in order to be considered for an award. Since 2003, the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation has awarded over 2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors totaling more than $2.5 million. Students may apply until December 18, 2015. More information can be found by clicking here.

$50,000 PRIZE POOL FOR HIGH SCHOOL ENTREPRENEURS

The Diamond Challenge is a free program from the University of Delaware open to ALL high school students. The Challenge provides an online curriculum in moving from “Ideas to Action” and in “Venturing for Good”. The competition has two tracks: Business Concept and Social Venture. Students need to simply register by November 30 at diamondchallenge.org, follow a video curriculum and submit a written concept and pitch by January 18. More information can be found by clicking here.
